A spirit of friendly competition pulsated through children of Shine Your Light Nursery School as they enjoyed a day of sports.

The schoolchildren participated in a wide range of sports events that called for cheering on their classmates along with learning valuable lessons in sportsmanship.

“Everyone was a winner with children each receiving a medal for their efforts,” said principal, Colleen Moselane.

She added that all the events were fun, safe and were made easy enough for all to participate in successfully. The day had events that ranged from relays, ball skill games and balancing to teamwork games. “It was a ‘funtastic’ day for all families,” said Moselane.
