The week sees the best schoolboy players in the country battle it out every year and is synonymous with showcasing the best of South African up-and-coming rugby talent. It is the platform for national and provincial scouts to identify the country’s future rugby heroes and this year, Springbok legend Victor Matfield was tasked to lead a panel of experts in selecting the Coca-Cola Hero of the Day, presented on each day of the tournament in recognition of a game-changing hero moment.

The event, which has seen more than 260 Springbok players come through its ranks, took three months of preparation and teamwork between the union, the Golden Lions, St Stithians College and the main sponsor Coca-Cola.
