Mr and Miss Rand Park 2017 crowned in rock and roll style

Mr and Miss Rand Park High School winners are crowned.

Mr and Miss Rand Park High School was a sure hit with the most contestants entering this year’s event.

It was a fantastic sight to see 50 eager youngsters compete against each other to get the coveted title of Mr or Miss Rand Park. This year was especially fun as contestants had to choose their ‘rock’ heros to dress up as in order to match the ‘Rock of Ages’ theme.

Dominique Adolphe is crowned Miss Personality and Miss Entrepreneur.

Contestants acted as popular artists such as Stevie Wonder, Freddie Mercury, Tina Turner and even more recent rock stars such as Kelly Clarkson and Nicki Minaj.

Each person had to raise funds by calling on donors and sponsors in order to enter the competition, proceeds of which went towards upgrading the school’s facilities.

Audience members got their fair share of entertainment with performances from Richard Kaldenberg, Thaakira Jabaar and the Rand Park High hip-hop dancers.

After modelling their rock outfits the stage was set for formal ware. Beautiful dresses were displayed by stunning girls as well as handsome boys rocking stylish suits.

A jog and a jive gets the audience ready for a rock and roll extravaganza.
