A 44-year-old man was recently sentenced to 13 years behind bars for murder in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court.
On the evening of 29 May, Randburg police constables Lebogang Moime and Nakampe Mapeti were approached by a member of the public informing them about an incident that occurred along Braam Fischer Drive in Ferndale. Randburg police spokesperson Captain Makgowanyana Maja said, “The officers were informed that someone had just been stabbed with a knife and the suspect is still around.”
The officers then called an ambulance to assist while searching for the suspect. The suspect was pointed out to the officers with the help of community members.
